Legal Topics and Stolen Artifacts Reports

Once and a while sacred artifacts and holy relics get lost in religious wars... like Arcs of the Covenant... or giant Gold Buddhas...

This section is for assistance in recovering lost artifacts and tracking them back for repatriation where they are most appreciated.  We thank you for your assistance with this.  If you or your temple has lost an artifact or relic due to theft, please send: a description of the artifact with a picture if possible, the date of the theft and any pertinent information on the circumstance, along with your contact information to info@divine.net.

You can also watch this section for import/export law references and trade regulation throughout the various genre of artifacts and jurisdictions served by this site.

Thank you,

The Divine Net Team

(see List of Agreements, Emergency Actions, and Federal Register Notices)

1970 UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import,
Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property

        U.S. Customs and Border Protection

U.S. Department of Fish and Wildlife
